Somalia-Horn of Africa
Food:
*Somali Food is a mixture of Ethiopian, Middle eastern and a few Italian influences but also different in diet and lifestyle. The cuisine of Somalia and other parts of Somalia are largely similar, although there are a few differences. Somali cuisine dates back to colonial and nomadic eras which makes it important to Somali Lifestyle.
Culture and Religion:
*Almost all Somalis are Sunni Muslims and Islam is vitally important to the Somali sense of national identity, though traces of pre-Islamic traditional religion exist in Somalia. Many of the Somali social norms come from their religion.Somali society is organized into clan families, which range from 100,000 to over one million in size. The five main clans are: Darod, Dir, Hawiye, Isaaq, and Rahanweyn. There are also a number of smaller clan groups. Each of the large clan families is divided into lineage units, typically ranging from 10,000 to 100,000 members. It is possible for Somalis to know how they are related simply by giving their name and clan membership.
Somalia offers many places to see as a tourist. Many of them include beaches, mountains and deserts. The picture above is Barack obama dressed in traditional somali clothe when he went to visit kenya in his earlier years.
People
Somalia has been a crossroads when it comes to people. Its people live on two pillars. Islam and poetry.
